About the Distiller
Jay & Claire are the husband and wife team behind Staffordshire Gin and Castletown Distillery. They both previously worked in education (maybe that's what turned them to drink...?) but Claire had learnt the craft of making wine from her father and they turned themselves towards gin after being captivated by the delicacy of the drink and it's long history in Britain.
Their gins are inspired by the Victorian era in terms of production methods and by the landscapes and industrial heritage of Staffordshire. We distill our gins traditionally. We use carefully selected botanicals and then the best of those make the cut. We never outsource any part of the production process. We always intend to make our drinks using traditional methods and with integrity.
They both love their craft so have a range of gins, rums and liquers!
