The debut gin from Hawkins Distillery was the culmination of 2 years of tinkering as an enthusiast. It's a juniper-forward gin with a playful citrus overtone followed by a cheeky warming spiced finish.
It's made using vapour infusion methods to maintain the flavours of the 7 botanicals. These botanicals are juniper (obviously), coriander, cassia, black pepper, cardamon, lemon and orris root.
A recommended serve
Bryn Hawkins, the head distiller, is a huge fan of a simple G&T so go for an indian tonic water, ice and a slice of lemon.
About the Distiller
Hawkins Distillery are exactly the kind of distillery we love to work with here at The Drink Creators. Bryn was tinkering about making gins in his kitchen as an enthusiast but when he let people try it they wanted to buy some so a 'proper' distillery naturally followed.
They want their flavours to do the talking and Bryn is wonderfully unapologetic in saying "I can make great gins, but I can't do marketing". We personally find it refreshing to see a distillery focus more on what's inside the bottle rather than outside.
